26 Feb BRIGGS
Briggs Del-Ciotto was a hero by three times saving human life. Twice my own and once a friend. Briggs was the longest lived of his litter as far as I know as I knew most of them throughout their lives. Briggs and I said goodbye to his brother 5 years ago on the 4th of March. It was 3 days before my birthday and now my best friend Briggs has allowed me to keep the promise I made to him so many years ago when he saved my life.
I will hold you until your last breath and your last heartbeat. We looked into each other’s eyes as old age took him away from me. No other single living creature has had an effect on my life like my partner Briggs did. From rescuing and kissing a chicken caught in a chain link fence, to alerting me to a friend’s seizure and impending diabetic coma in time to help him and get the paramedics, to saving me twice not once, Briggs gave me strength and now I feel lost.
I hope we meet on that Rainbow Bridge they talk of old friend, until then my heart is full of tears for your loss and my mind full of joy for the great memories and experiences you left me with.
Your Human;
Gino

Posted at 11:14h, 27 FebruaryMy friend Gino, so very sorry for the loss of your best friend. I know we are facebook friends, but the little bit of time I’ve gotten to know you, I know you have a great heart. And your furry friend Briggs, was as equally as lucky to have you as you were him. 🙂
