My Dear, Dear Casey

Words can never express how much you meant to me. I don’t think I’ve ever had a little dog who loved me so much. I got the same warm greeting from you, if I simply went out to the garbage for a minute or if I had been gone all day. You would prance around like a little lamb and the tail would go gently back and forth wiggle, waggle.

You came into our lives back in 1997 when we needed someone to focus on after an enormous loss and you were a treasure to have found.

You were great company for my Mum in her later years. As our family grew and changed shape numerous times, you simply adjusted and accepted all who came and went. This included 2 legged and 4 legged beings. You were the kindest little soul ever. Truly, I have never had a dog for so long and knowing that has brought me a certain level of peace.

Age should be a graceful time and so you left… gracefully in your Jaime’s arms with me also by your side.

Since you have gone we also lost your Big Brother Riley, 2 months after you so as you can imagine, we are super brokenhearted.
