In Memory of Keanu Moore-Lawson
In Keanu’s Words…
“I don’t want anyone crying over my passing. Please don’t. I’ve had the most amazing, beautiful long life with my humans and animal pack.
I’ve seen the most beautiful amazing sunrises and sunsets.
I’ve been places most humans haven’t even had the opportunity to go.
You see my girl human she took me everywhere. This thing called work the girl would say but it meant I got to go in the truck and I loved that!
It meant lots of other humans and animals friends and lots of cookies and pats.
I learned very quickly where to sit at each hotel for my cookies that I loved!
From checking into the Fairmont Empress and having the bell boy carry my pet bed and stuffie to my room.
To going to Norton North Cottages where I had other doggy friends and used my snout to track animals on the huge acreage.
I even got to go on the Banff gondola and my ears went sideways and eyes grew huge when I looked down!!!
I loved going to the Yukon and barking at the all the wild buffalo right in my Mom’s ear!
I almost must admit I was very good at changing the radio in her truck with my huge paws!
I looked so regal on my ferry rides with the wind in my coat! Humans always told me this and gave me lots of attention.
I mastered the art of mouching with my big brown eyes and had the chefs at the regular restraunts serving me meals! Mmmmmm!
I spent my time when not at work on the ranch or at the lake in the Kootenays, hiking swimming and following my humans on their paddle boards.
I loved to play tree and dragged huge tree trunks everywhere I went.
I loved my dog pack Kindle, Maverick, Magnum, Storm and looked forward to my scheduled walks with them and my humans.
I loved playing ball with my human Steve. And I was the master at it! Getting three balls in my mouth all at once.
I made my Kristine human laugh so many times as I loved to help her paint! I used my paws and nose and got paint everywhere!!!
I shared a very special bond with the horses. I taught horse Dexter how to chew sticks and though I didn’t like to
share my stick I did occasionally with horse Dexter cause it made my humans laugh so hard!!! In exchange he shared his trough which looked like a bath tub to me!
I don’t want anyone crying over my passing. Please don’t.
Celebrate my life and think of me in every sunrise and sunset.”
